Job Description Tufts Institute of the Environment (TIE) is seeking a graduate or undergraduate student to coordinate TIE’s Environmental Film Club and other TIE events. This intern will be responsible for: scheduling the film club’s showings throughout the semester; selecting the films to be shown; designing event flyers and other publicity materials; liaising with partner organizations and student groups to promote the films; liaising with the TIE Communications intern to further promote the event through TIE’s communications channels; organizing speakers and invited guests to conduct relevant Q&A sessions or other presentations to accompany the films; coordinating event logistics and keeping each showing within budget; attending each showing and capturing promotional visuals and testimonies; and, publicizing and reporting on the event outreach results. Similar responsibilities will be assigned for other adhoc events throughout the semester. This position is ideal for someone with experience, or wishing to gain experience, in event management and analytics. Interested students should send: 1) Cover letter 2) Resume. Job Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications: reliable, detail-oriented, well-spoken in oral and written communication, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), interested in the environment. Preferred Skills & Qualifications – Knowledge of environmental programs at Tufts, experience with Adobe Illustrator or Microsoft Publisher or other graphic design programs. Students from any Tufts program may apply, but students with work-study awards are given preference.

Compensation $11.00/hour to $13.00/hour, Commensurate with education level and/or experience as well as ability to work independently
